Im just looking for some advice with the R32GTR i recently purchased

its running a 1994 R33 GTR engine in it...

Stock standard engine

with HKS pods thats it

Stock dump pipes in it and a 3 inch cat back i was running at 3.5 inch with no CAT but i took that off for obvious reasons. I got a few questions

Should i upgrade to 3 turbo back exhaust with hi flow cat?

Should i go with the power FC for tuning wise ? (also would this have any affect on the attessa?)

im planning to run 13 psi with a 3 inch exhaust and a power fc has any body got any comments on this

what power figures should i be expecting..

And what is a good turner in melbourne for power Fc's and GTRs

To give you and idea, HKS pods are good, but an airbox would be better (you took the exhaust without cat off for obvious reasons, do the same with the pods), ARC is very good but not cheap if you are doing it on a budget

A lot of GTR's run between 13 and 15psi through stock (ceramic) turbos - do go over 15psi without steel wheels, it will be costly when they break

Power FC is very popular with the Skyline guys, i personally use a microtech - but both of them do not affect atessa at all

Exhaust - there are heaps of exhausts out there ready made for the R32 GTR that simply bolt up and have proven themselves already, if you are not keen on spending a lot on the exhaust but want good results use the xforce one from justjap (02 9545 0532), it sounds great aswel

Power? Depends on the tune and if you have cams/cam gears, but expect between 250-280 rwkw

Hope this helps

spot on.

finish off the exhaust.

replace pods with stock air box and good panel filter, then maybe mod the box to get more air into it.

electronic boost controller

PFC

tune for midrange instead of outright power and you'll love it.

should cost about...

$500 - turbo's to cat pipes

$500 - EBC

$200 - air box and filter

$1000 - PFC

$500 - tune

if you're on a budget, you can probably get away with the stock ecu, but it would be a good idea to get it on the dyno and check that your afr's aren't dangerously lean or anything.

There isn't much point in increasing boost with stock turbo's, and if you want to, a manual boost controller does the job (look in forced induction section there is a 20 page thread on a really good, cheap one...)

3inch combined front & dump pipe from just jap is a worthy investment, and top it off with 3inch high-flow cat. You have intake and exhaust sorted out.

If dyno reveals you are running dangerously lean, or you want to upgrade turbo's, that's probably the point where you get an aftermarket ecu, Power FC's are a good option because they are cheap, and plug-in.

If you have the cash lying around, just grab an aftermarket ecu now, since it's something that you're eventually going to want anyway, and you will get a bit more power from a good tune, even with minor mods.

thanks for the help...

can anyone tell me are there any differences with the r32 GTR engine and there R33 GTR engine..

atm im just doing my research so i can invest my money wisely..

but most likely im going to go with the power FC and im in the search for some dump pipes and hi flow cats.

are there any recommend tunners in melbourne ??? anybody had any experiences with.
