Did the engine builder deck the block by any chance?

Removed oil restrictors, decked block, forgot to replace??? :S

i suppose that could have happened but i would really hope not! i'm guessing the only way you can tell if there not there is by pulling the head off isn't it?

well it shoudnt matter too much if you have a new turbo to go on. Would be nice to know for sure what went wrong with the vg30.

hmmmmm I am going through the same thing in my RB30DET

But my oil is commin from the Breather. I cant seperate the oil. I have tried heaps of things. All i can do now is run the breather from my catch can into a bottle in the engine bay and just live with it.

Need to install some baffles and have a better breathing system.

thought i would have heard from him by now. since i have a day off tomorrow i'll be heading down there to find out what's going on!

Don't worry i want more than anyone to find out whats going on with the turbo and won't be doing anything until i source the problem!

Put it this way the turbo will probably max out my injectors if i got Shaun to push it hard enough! (definitely won't be doing this though) I only got the turbo cause it was at a price that was too good to refuse otherwise i would've just persisted with the vg30!

got my turbo back today and Bill says there seems to be nothing wrong with it and seems fine. Time for a compression test. looks like excess blow by i hope/think!
