tein standardised spring listing

yay found a listing for tein springs.

no more gueswork. :(

but from what i can see the first 3 numbers in the part number are the spring rate in kgs

ie-first half of the number.

Excellent, so what are your spring rates?

:) cheers D

Dave, checked mine yesterday.. they are tapered.. and way too hard lol

from memory they are the 12kg ones from the website.

might rip them out and do the measurements to see what rate they really are.

unless the have a part number on the spring.

8kg/mm front

7kg/mm rear

The 450 lbs per inch front is almost circuit racing suitable, still a bit high though.

The 400 lbs per inch rear is going to limit the traction somewhat, about half that is more like it.

My suggestion for a cheap fix would be to put the rear springs in the front and buy a pair of 250 lbs per inch (4.5 kg/mm) springs for the rear.

 cheers :)

id need to get the dampers rebuilt to suit as they are on the limit for fast street on the bump settings(ie bottoms out)

but working for a v8 supercar team :D ive learnt that its all in the damper itsself. you can get away with a lower spring rate if the damper can adsorb it for you. just turn up the high speed bump a couple of clicks.... but with our run o the muck shit we need hevier springs to stop the botoming out.

corect me if im wrong but thats my undestanding of it anyway

yeah the number is painted on the bottom of the spring where it sits on the lower mount.
