R32 Gtr Engine Fault Codes

ok, i looked at a car today, it wont start at all. with key to "on" position the engine light flashes once '1' every 3 seconds roughly. Also the computer red l.e.d is flashing the same as engine light. Now i tryed to put it into mode 2 , to get the fault dispalyed, doesn't change engine/computer flash. When i also short-circuit "chk" & "ign" like the manual says , it still has no effect.

ok from there i went as far as swaping the computer out with another one .... hey presto , the car starts and runs , however really really rich . This however doesn't help with why the other computer got upset , as there must be a fault somewhere.

what im leaning towards here is maybe a rooted crank angle sensor or just a rooted computer full stop.

Anyone with any helpfull idea's.
