Mounting Boost Gauge

anyone have any pics of where they have mounted their boost gauge or have any good sugestions as to where i should mount mine

id like it in the corner of my dash easy to see but i heard this was illegal because of an obstruction of view .. is this true?

AFAIK Its illegal to have any display mounted above the standard instrument cluster. That being said, mounting it in an a-pillar pod would probably be the cleanest and most visible solution.

I bought a Greddy single pillar pod but have decided to go the way of having the gauge in the corner of my dash. See my thread HERE for my custom made one (not finished yet though). I believe that my design would give you better visibility (less obstructed) than any pod attached to the A-pillar and certainly less chance of getting defected.

How come taxis / government cars are alloud to have stuff higher than the dash???

i believe the ADR rules are that nothing must be in the head impact zone

i have the rsm and a tv in the middle of my dash on the top. ive had several cops look and ask what it is and nothing else. also one sit in the drivers seat to check it out, thats not to say its legal, they just didnt do anything abouit it
