Im thinking of going for a 400R-bodykit (and hood) for my ECR33. Now im a bit split on what color to choose, either i go with the lightsilver-paint i have now, and put some nice(and big) red or blue decals on it. This would save me alot of money.

Im also thinking of painting it red, sorta Ferrari-red, would look nice with some black or white rims.

Earlier i was also thinking that JUN-yellow is a very nice color, could be really nice, or the very opposite.

So what do you think?

Cheers

nah dont do red.. wont suit the car at all no matter what rims.. just what i think..

i would go with purple maybe??

or yea silver like my car(avator pic)

but as the guy abiove said, check out the yellow!!

even maybe blue?? bayside blue or a bit darker??

Post up a pic of your car or one similar with the body kit etc, I can do a couple of photoshops if you like. Just give me a pic and some idea of the colours you are choosing between. I can change rims too, so if you put up a pic of the rims you want, I can add them to the pic.

Hey! Thanks for your comments! Still havent made up my mind, but for rims, im going for either black 8-spoke 18-inch (they have a nice red line on the following the edge of the rim which would go perfectly along with the red color) OR i'll go with something like this:

Anyways, here are some links to real 400R's with some different colors:

http://www.jbskyline.net/Nismo400R/Showroom/Bilder/Bild8.php - Yellow, the yellow one i have in mind, a bit brighter wouldnt hurt though

http://www.jbskyline.net/Nismo400R/Showroo...lder/Bild15.php - A white one, always nice, but not that intresting, and also, a friend of mine has a white R33, dont wanna compete with him :P

http://www.jbskyline.net/Nismo400R/Showroo...lder/Bild16.php - A somewhat dull blue color

http://www.jbskyline.net/Nismo400R/Showroom/Bilder/Bild1.php - And ofcourse the red one, not exactly the 'ferrari-red' i was thinking of

I dont have any pics of a silver one, although i think i know that the 400R came with the KR4-Silver, a bit darker then mine.

Candy apple red would be so nice, but the cost is a tad to high for me :(

Quinny, would be great if you could do some photoshopping, ill try to find a good pic of one with the kit on!

EDIT: found a guy who ones a JUN-Yellow one, with atleast a 400R-front:

Nothing wrong with red, especially if it has a bright red pearl ;)

I've had nothing but great comments about my car, after i resprayed it and powder coated the rims a metallic charcol

Here are some more pics from the 2006 GP AutoSalon, Mavric's yellow bannana also looks great ;)

I've made a testpic to get an idea of how the rims work with the stock KL0-color of my car, and with decals, the car has actually got darkgrey lower parts of bumpers and sideskirts, modded that in the pic, aswell as removed the GT-Wing i have (dont like it although would maybe be nice to paint it in the same color as the decals...).

    • Yep that's pretty much what I want to see. Racecars that look and sound like the Group A but with newer tech underneath to make them faster and safer. I'm sure there's enough VK-to-VN commodore, E30 BMWs and Foxbody mustangs shells around to make up a decent number of cars with hopefully a couple of sierras, rx7 and R31s in there too.
    • Contact Jessestreeter.com/Skevas Racing/JustJap for a new r34 rb gearbox or go a cd00# conversion. No point playing with unknown condition gearboxes.
    • Such a shame places like Amaroo Park have been redeveloped, smaller tracks always make for good racing. Cheers for sharing @PranK there's some good Lakeside video's too. Its so hard with older the cars as parts are so rare and everything was made for a particular chassis at that point in time. Even the V8 Supercar Blueprint era cars are all different between each chassis within a team as they learnt things and made improvements. The COTF cars between each Chassis builder is different too especially motor/oil systems/intakes. The Group A stuff is worth so much too especially chassis with good history. The only way to do it would be composite panels and similar engine drivelines to the original cars. Ford sierra running Focus RS driveline, Commodore running a short stroke LS/LT or a Falcon with coyote and a H Pattern dog box. Could use a standard ecu across all models with a Torque Map and DBW for parity which is not even used in Supercars currently. Hell a TCM is almost a full chassis car these days and the suspension is not even close to standard style in the front running cars.
    • Dashcams Australia (13/05/25) captured JDMHSE (Vic plate) being a right tosser.
    • Wish someone would start a racing series for Group A replica cars, a bit like Touring Car Masters but for 1985 onwards and not grandpa's falcon and/or Monaro. I know they race in some historic class but that's for original cars, no replicas allowed.
