with those brushes everyone has told me not to use it. and at first i never did but if i dont use it dirt that doesnt come off with the pressure hose gets on my shammy. so i use my bear had and feel all over the brush and there usually really soft. i give it a blast too, and make sure theres heaps of soap on them before i use.

my washes include.

soap rinse

brush clean

water rinse

wipe of dirt with the $2 dispoable cloths

shammy

then wax if needed

i got around 1am so theres no one there, usually no wind aswell.

  • 2 years later...

I wouldn't use your "bare" hands on the brush. What if the drunk faggots the other guy was talking about put glass in there?

Scratches on my car suck but not as much as getting glass cuts on my hands from the beer bottle of someone who might have a blood-borne virus.

my routine is

hose down car

soap - i let it foam up heaps and dab it on in an up and down manner rather than scrubbing it back and forth scratching the car

wool mit - hand clean the car with the pile of soap already on it

rinse

shammy

i do this late at night so i can take as long as i need to sponge the car down and shammy. it only cost me $4 total to wash my car.

i bought a high pressure hose 2weeks before the restrictions. have only used it once since then. have they lifted restrictions yet so i can wash at home now?

I put in $2 and high pressure hose the car all round which takes about 30sec, then give the foam brush a quick blast with the high pressure hose and switch to foam brushing.

Since the foam is very thick and concetrated I can get the whole car covered in it and strart rubbing it down.

Place $1 in and hose all off.

Not bad for $3. Hehe!

Or you could all install a 1000 litre rain water tank and buy yaself about 6 x 9-litre buckets, washing material and wash ya cars at home all for free.

But some might not have the room or time.

Common sense would tell most people to use the high pressure hose to rinse the brush before rubbing it on your car.

Common sense would tell most people to not use the brush at all :D

Why would you want to use a brush thats been used on filthy taxi's, courier vans and trucks?
