Mysterious Sounds...

Hey everyone

Ive been having this weird kind of noise coming from the engine bay.. it sounds like a girl screaming her lungs out or like a kettle really giving out steam.. I have a pretty much stock R33 S1 GTST.. Ive been trying to figure out where the noise is coming from.. this happened before I even put on my boost controller weird.. and still happens after I put the boost controller on.. it tends to happen once I hit around 4500 rpms even if Im free revving it on neutral.. kinda freaks me out because I keep thinking Ive hit someone.. LOL.. any help would be appreciated.. never encountered such a weird ass thing.. thanks everyone.

Sounds like it could be ur belt slipping.....alternator?

Some bearings can sound like that. Also seen a turbo that was scraping the inside of the housing make a similar noise.

Get your head into the engine bay and find out exactly where it's coming from.

Thanks everyone for the advice Ill get it checked up tmr morning.. and keep you posted. So it can be either the turbo grinded its a** off or the belt for the alternator? Ill see what it could be.. hope nothing bad bad bad! LOL. Thanks again

I recently had a squeeling problem with the belt that goes to the A/C pump.And it only did it when the A/C was on.

What i did to remdey the problem was,get a dry cake of soap and with the car running,from underneath it,i sat it on the inside of the belt and made sure to coat all sides of it (belt).

The only problem with that is the soap will wear down fast,and,can get caught and ripped out of your hands.Also you have to be very carefull where you put your fingers.

the water pump seals are squeeky..

if lost count on how many na-33s ive replaced the waterpumpon to get rid of the mad scream at idle

for some reason its the non turbo ones ive had trouble with.

go to holden and buy some (coolant or water pump pellets)

they lube up the seals on the pump. if not you need a water pump.
