Removal of center air vents

I would like to remove the square air vent in the middle of the dash, the one just above the hazard switch. Is this possible without taking the dash appart or snapping the fins? I am thinking of mounting a display in the hole and then making the vent as a false cover, to hide it.

nope, gotta remove the big one piece dahsboard, but then u can probably neatly cut the vents out, or maybe they clip off ?? dont know, surprising i dont i've had my dash out about 20 times in the last 3 weeks i love modding

If you take the dash facia off and then the grilles unclip from

behind,i have taken mine out and cut out the centre stay and mounted afc and ebc there looks really good

Is it hard to take the dash faccia out and how do you do it?

- take out the cigarette thing, behind it should be a screw (unscrew that)

- then take off the gear knob, remove the surrounding plastic thing with the leather (its clipped in)

- then remove the 2 screws underneath the plastic facia, then just take the whole thing off (the whole thing is clipped in but just unclip it).

P.S. make sure you dont pull it fully out cause there is a couple of wires attached.

-also make sure you lower the steering wheel to the bottom

- and put a rag on top of the steering coloumn as when you pull the facia thing out it always scratches the top of the plastic cover

remove the plastic steering wheel colum covers and you wont scratch a thing, only takes 5mins!
