id say the best thing to do is get it fixed just before you sell the car haha .... why rack up k's when you dont have to lol? ... ok ... so thats not the "best" idea ... It take it to an Auto Electrician and get them to have a look at it.

how well do the numbers line up, it could have been damge if/when it was wound back. or it could be just chance and theres dirt, something broke etc. i have noticed that many clusters are replaced in skylines and it could be just a prob thatss show up in yours too.

take it to an auto elec, theyll fix it.

yeh I noticed that once I hit 100,000k's the number one (1) never lined up properly and I have been told that, that is a sign of the odometer being tampered with.

Sounds like a good idea fEkuaR lol!

I'll look around for an auto elect. tomorrow. Any one know any good ones around Melbourne South East subs ?

Thanks for the advice guys!

same thing happened to mine... i took it out about 10 times and it was wierd... everytime i took the cluster/odo out (didnt touch anything on it) it would start working again for like another 10-50km..

in the end i just got a second hand cluster for like $150 off sau...

obviously double check with the person that there odo is working 100% as u dont wana end up with 2 faulty ones :|

dunno how true this is.. but i heard the number it stops on is the number it was wound back from or something like that...
