Wow, there's a lot of people in here who haven't run 9.359 yet

Why are you all crying about tyres instead of congratulating him?

I don't see any claim the run was on federals or any federal sponsorship on the car. If the bloke needed to move to other tyres how is that different to a change any other racer makes to go faster?

Anyway.... well done Theo :(

Are your eyes painted on? You're getting old, Duncan. And lots of people including myself have congratulated him. Back to Oran Park Sth with you! Gowooon Git!

Adrian

I wasnt hasseling him about what tyres he was using!!! It was a genuine question! Cause if fedaral made a tyre that could get those kind of results I would be interested in taking a look at getting some for every day tyres!! (I had been told they are grippless so I was hoping that his could be confirmed of denied)

It has become blatantly obvious that unfortunately Federal do not at this time make a tyre to run 9.35 on. This DOES NOT mean they aren't a well-priced compromise tyre for a genuine street driven car that can also run fast times at the strip. This shouldn't be something for Federal to be ashamed of, they DO go well at the strip (to a limit), but maybe have an issue with 1000hp and 1500kg?

I have heard however that they are working on a more dedicated strip tyre? Anyone confirm this?

That is the answer I was looking for thanks mate :(

Theo has ran high to mid 9's on Federals, ive run 1.6 60' times with them....so has Stacey....i think they are a good all round comprimise for a street car that regularly sees the strip. The drift boys seem to love them too.

ps. this is only my opinion and possibly is total bullsh1t
