S1 And S2 R33 Headlights

Can they series 2 headlights bolt on to series 1's if so what is involved.

You will have to change (at least) the front guards, the bonnet and the front grille as the S2 headlights are a different shape.

Can I say that S1 R33 skylines have possibly the worst headlights? lol

Not only are they yellowing like no tomorrow... but the fact that the actual head lamps are hidden behind another layer of thick yellow plastic. SII lights all the way!

yeah i wanted vented s2 guards aftermarket front bar anyway and aftermarket bonnet so anything else need changing.

I am pretty sure you dont need to change the guards, only the bonnet and grille.

As for the S1 headlights yellowing, some 2000 grit snadpaper then some cut and polish finishing off with some maguires plastic polish. Comes up like new and look quite sexy.

The lights yellow bacause of sun damage... the same way EF falcon lights do.

vs commodore have glass surrounds on the headlights im pretty sure..

Only plastic yellows from the sun.

You have to bake the headlight in an oven.

Then the glue melts and you just pry off the plastic cover.

Nope haven't done it personally but its a pretty standard procedure to get the lights cleaned up really good.

Look on google - there are plenty of tutorials on baking headlights and its benefits.

Ive got s2 headlights and bonnet. ya dont need new guards. Good luck finding s2 headlights cheaply...
