Going To Japan

Hey Crew, heading to Japan for seven months to play professional baseball and just wanted to know if anyone knows the rules about bring back a car from Japan. I have heard that if you live in Japan a certain amount of time you are able to bring back a car that you may have purchased whilst you were there. If this is the case can't wait to find a nice R34 GTR.

You have to own the car for a year, but if I were you I would buy something that can not be complianced in aus so you can have something completely different

If you buy and own the car there for 12 months( must be registered in your name ), you can bring any car you want and you dont need to go through raws . Anyone can buy and bring a car under sevs, so you can buy a 34 GTR anytime and ship it here . Even if you own the car for 12 months you still have to pay taxes, import duty @10% and GST@10% but you do get some depreciation depending on how long you own the car there .
