I know it was a shitty ass post but i kind of ran out of time, rb26 over sized to 2.7L forged pistons stock rods new bearings, metal head gasket head studs, the head is ported and polished ferrara valves hks springs retainers and 272 cams cam gears, stock intake manifold custom exhaust manifold for twins t3/t4 turbos greddy oil pump ati damper electromotive engine management 1000cc injectors, the motor is in a s13 body i hope this answers everyones question if you have any please feel free to ask.

any more detail on the turbos and manifold arrangement (waste gates etc)

I will get the pics by the end of the week and post it, and guys dont be haters if your car does not make that kind of power hahahah.

mate i think its more the fact of common sense, y stinge on rods in a 650rwhp engine? forged rods aint expensive, and do u really wanna be pulling it down again cause its broken one ?

i think u have saved money in the wrong area and the internals r more important than a better intercooler or stuff like that, cause that stuff can be changed later without hassle.

each to their own, and good work as i said :(

I can just see it now.. the media going crazy about a car bomb terrorst attack.

Just stay away from the main city's and our schools!

What if it does (nearly) and we are still haters ?

EDIT: Sorry if that sounds cold, but man can you blame us from the vagueness of the info given, the construction of the initial post, the failure to forward any concrete evidence, supporting information etc. Not to mention the skepticism over your choice of rods, by myself and others.

Props to you if your the real deal, just way too many dickheads around to believe shit like this off the cuff... back it up, or shut it up, thats what i reckon.

KW told me he ran a rebuild n1 engine all nissan std part to a 10.3 with the twin trust turbo set he runs know for sometime before sell it to a motorkana dude (you need to be made some serious hp to run 10.3). His belief was the std engine is good to around 750bhp and the first thing he talked about braking was the block not the rods.

pete

ps i run forged rods for piece of mind

no offence but i will back my shit up alright since you runnin your mouth off but the question is what do you have to to back up with besids a big mouth and a attitude, i know my initial post was shitty and i said that and i also know it is hard to believe stuff like this off the cut but damm give a guy a break here i said i was goin to post it before the week is done then we will see who is talkin shit and who is not.

r stock rods capable of over 650rwhp without failing???

awesome results none the less :D

post dyno sheet

how do u find the ati dampener? how much are they worth new? where to get em from? any details appreciated mate

I will get a price on the damper for you there is a website you can go to it is www.atidampers.com i am in the us so shippin was not too much, but it is worth gettin the damper i have seen proof of that especially when you are makin 500 plus hp.

There is a pattern here.

Random person who has barely posted if at all comes on here with a thread stating 11ty bazillion rwkw with no dyno sheet, pics or list of mods done.

25 keyboard warriors hang shit on him.

He counters with a few scant more details which contains a comment of a stock part that most people think should be upgraded - eg injectors, rods.

The whole forum hangs shit on him for using that stock part saying his motor will blow up any second now.

End result:

The newbie who has spent many hours and $ on his Skyline thus generating some knowledge tries a few more times but the lines are drawn and he fades away.

Possible solution:

We can't pre-educate the newbies so we have to expect their behaviour and cater to it. Perhaps in a more pleasant manner. Obviously forum slamming is fun but it doesn't add to the community assets.

Have a nice day. :P

Quite a few of the reputable workshops in Australia have told me correctly prepped stock rods with suitable rod bolts will hold quite alot of power and 9000rpm without a problem (as long as youre not hitting 9000rpm all day every day).

I know of a RB26 running 520rwkw in its street driven trim with stock rods, has never had a problem in its life. The only failure of the conrods you generally hear about is due to oil related issues, not the strength of the part itself.

In saying that though, for $900 you may as well chuck a set of Eagle rods in it for a bit of extra safety.

And more importantly he should learn how to structure sentences, not just have 1 long sentence which ends up reading like blah blah blah

    • @soviet_merlin Thanks mate!  Nothing too major but will hold me up for a while. I've got lymphomas to get taken off the back of my neck and the middle of my spine which always conjures scary thoughts!  It sounds worse than it is. Yeah great, conjuring more rabbit hole deepening , just what I need! 🤣
    • I'd argue the F50 kit I got is very good value. For ~2k I got the calipers (refurbed condition), adapters, pads, brake lines, rotors, and top hats. I think you'd be pretty hard to get Evo/GTR/350z brembos + the additional hardware for similar money. Used market for a pair of front calipers alone I've seen tend to run anywhere from $1500-2000 depending on condition.    That said, something like a GTR or 350z brembo is a lot easier to adapt to the Silvia.
    • Is there a significant price difference between the Evo/gtr/350z brembos vs the F50? Looks amazing.
    • I was actually being a tightarse at the time LOL... My OCD is tickling me into running a 2nd 8AN Teflon hose all the way down and removing the 2x OEM hardlines. My other side of my brain is telling me to run 2x hardlines front to back (also acts as a fuel cooler, so win win).
    • As I mentioned in an earlier post, I had some trouble with the Silvia's brakes dragging back in 2023. I managed to sort it out then, but the same problem came back to bite me late last year. Just take a look at the picture – I had a feeling the handbrake was acting up again, and I was right. Anyway, I'd been wanting to upgrade to bigger brakes for a while. Not that the Silvia's brakes were bad, but it was more of a "want" than a "need", you know? It was funny, though – at the time, I couldn't find any Evo Brembos, 350Z Brembos, or GTR Brembos for a decent price (of course, tons of them popped up online after I already bought my kit!). I ended up going with an F50 Brembo kit, which came with adapters, brake lines, 330mm rotors, and top hats. The F50 Brembo caliper was used in a few other cars too, like the FPV. I also decided this was the perfect opportunity to ditch the Silvia's ridiculous rear brakes and that awful handbrake (some of you were definitely right about that!). I picked up some R33 calipers and all the necessary bits – rear drums, backing plates, and new hardware to refurbish the calipers. Of course, it wouldn't be a project without a few hiccups. Turns out the brake master cylinder was playing up and basically (to put it simply) keeping the brakes engaged. I had it overhauled, and after some adjustments, everything was working again. The whole process took a while, as you can imagine. To top it off, the front right wheel bearings were shot and needed replacing too. This is a rare occasion where I'm posting an update while it's all still fresh! These pictures were taken just this afternoon.
