Transmission Cooler On A Manual

Ey guys i was just wondering if it is worth it or even possible to fit a transsmission oil cooler on a

manual car?? keeping the oil a bit cooler is always better isnt it, less wear on parts better changes

anyone done it before??

dont know personaly. but ive never heard of it being done. mayb coz youd need another style of pump to get the oil through and threw a cooler...???? or they just use a high grade oil that can stand high temps...

not required in a manual, because it doesn't heat up as much as auto's do.

The Gibson Racing R32s ran coolers for gearbox and diff, with plenty of packaging problems evident with the coolers being mounted at the rear of the vehicle and fed via some air scoops.

You'd have to say it was due to extreme, prolonged torque loading. Obviously the aim is to prevent oil degradation.

Recently saw an article in Rally Aust with a 260Z spec'd with a diff cooler. Evidently those R180s have experienced failures due to inability to dissipate heat in those Safari type events.

relax about a manual tranny oil cooler only race cars have em if you going to be snap shifting on a track for 5 hours

you need a pump, radiator and some place for it to circulate too and from

if you worried just drop the trans oil every 40,000ks and use good stuff
