I have 3 Nissan turbos now, presumably all off 2 litre motors.

The first two were on redtop RB20DET's, one is marked 16v9 and has a flush shaft/splined nut on the comp side, the other is marked 16v7 and appears to have a smaller diameter shaft (at least the threaded section) with about 5mm of threaded shaft poking out past the hex retaining nut on the comp side.

Both have visually the same comp wheel (haven't measured) and visually the same turbine with 11 blades visible *although* fasteners are different on both and I haven't measured them.

Turbo 3 I am told is from a VG20DET, and "bigger than an RB20 turbo but smaller than an RB25", however looks and measures up externally identical to the housings of both my other turbos, it is marked 16v6. Claimed to have made 154rwkw on an otherwise stock VG20DET (stock cooler etc). Shaft and nut setup looks the same as the 16v9 turbo. Turbine wheel only has 9 blades visible, and side by side compared to the others the pitch of the comp blades are shallower. I believe its a ceramic turbine.

I am of the opinion they are all basically the same, and really only obtained the apparent VG20 item because it will fit straight up to my old ECCS redtop RB20, and has fark all play compared to my other two shitters.

No particular advantage (apart from wear) likely to be had from any of them?
