Going From A Hollowed Out Cat -> Standard Cat

On a RB20DET, i've currently got a hollowed out Cat converter on my car

and i'm about to replace it with another standard Cat that isn't hollowed out.

What sort of power decrease is expected?

well that would depend on the condition of the cat your putting in..

go for a proper high flow cat and i doubt you would notice too much change.

get a highflow 3" or 4" body..

the less restriction the better

I once had no cat. adding a standard one again is like getting some pliers and crimping the end of your exhaust flat. feels like a huge restriction.

It also highly depends on how much power is churning out too. On a stock car there wouldnt be to much difference.

It depends on your setup, which turbo are you running? what is the rest of your exhuast like?

I had no cat and then put a 3inch hiflow cat in and still noticed a difference

The cat back is a 3" straight pipe straight to the back with a single resinator in between.

I just purchased a front/dump pipe all in one.

So my exhaust system will be as follows:-

3' dump/front pipe -> standard cat -> 3' straight pipe out to the back
