Cam Gears?

Hey guys, i have an rb25 in my vl calais and i just have a few questions about getting some cam gears for it.

It's got a brand new bottom end, forgies, rods etc...

other mods are

microtech ltx8, T70 turbo, GReddy plenum, 38mm turbosmart gate, hybrid cooler, fuel system etc

I'ts currently making 360rwhp on 14psi and i would like to get a bit more oomph out of the car with the same boost before i go bigger fuel system and somewhere around 25psi...

Any cam gears you could reccomend?

will they help my setup?

what price range am i looking at?

will my ecu need to be retuned with cam gears?

any help much appreciated

Hey Brad, there have been threads about cam gears in the past (use the search function), but it seems the main idea is to have them adjustable.

There are different brands, little said/written about durability in recent times. I do recall someone had wear issues with alloy gears about 12 - 18 months ago though.

Price wise, try Nengun or Greenline to give you an idea for new ones.

they wont add any power, get some cams instead. tomie poncams should do the trick

get tomei pnocams like paul mentioned, then theres no need for cam gears coz they are perfect out of the box, alot better gains from the cams

They have the potential to bring boost on sooner. can get 10-15 rwkw out of mid range on an rb20... I assuem simular gains for your setup
