Talk about going off topic! LOL

Ok, its this Sunday (7th) from our side we have approximately 50 cars meeting up, plus a contingment from SilviaNSW, some from Performance Forums, and you lot!

Now come on, I wanna see more of you there!!

:P :uh-huh: :O

So can I please get a final show of hands for this cruise? Its gonna be huuuuge!!!

By the way, on our big cruises like this upcoming one, we hold a little competition where we award a trophy to "Car of the Cruise". Basically any car who attends the day's events entirely is eligble to enter. Look out for our committee members handing out maps and forms. Each car will receive a map and voting form.

See you all there, look out for me, I wont be in my 180SX, I'll be in my mates black series 6 RX7:eek: No, not Nissan, but still a very cool car:uh-huh: :D

George, you shouldve come mate... :D

it was a pretty good day though... we had id say between 70 and 80 cars when we left Homebush, which had reduced to about 60-odd by the time we got to Katoomba due to the fact that people didnt seem to be able to (or refused to, i dont know) read the maps that we provided, with all the directions clearly listed.... but anyway.

we had a mad run along Bells Line of Road before invading Katoomba (you shouldve seen it bro, the locals couldnt beleive it... we caused a major traffic jam in the main street for a little while there. :D)

stopped at the park, where everyone froze their balls off (it was windy as all hell), and everyone cast their votes on the car of the cruise, the winner was TOY.12A the blue RX-3, who recieved a trophy for his efforts.

there was a couple of nice Skylines there, including Cihan's (MRTRBO) and Coxy's (DGT.58U), also another very nice white one with bronze rims (im not sure who the owner is, he seemed like a nice bloke though. he might be on here?) and there was also a big showing from the SilviaNSW club in their Silvias & 180's...

but im telling you mate, you missed out big time... :D spewing you couldnt make it.

ill post the link to some of the pictures when they become available (250 photos being developed, scanned & uploaded takes a little while ;) )

cheers

Hey dudes,

    • Yes.  The only scenario I can imagine when the answer isn't yes, is if you drive like there is highway patrol behind you at all times.  If your car currently runs, enjoy it and keep saving. Better costs more, keep saving until you can budget the better ECU. It's worth it.  Nope. Plenty of us making >300kw on unopened motors. Mine is unopened and makes about 350kw if I turn everything up, its fine (lots of caveats here, how the car will be used/abused, how long you expect the engine to last between rebuilds, how has the engine been maintained prior to coming into your ownership, etc etc).
    • Sorry just wanting to clarify, at this power goal, which should I be going? Also, More info regarding suspension, the rear upper camber arms were used to get the camber back to i believe around -0.5 ~ -1 degree (@ Road and Race in Rydalmere), I forgot the exact figure, but ALOT less camber than what it came originally which was like -2.5degrees. Are the traction arms still recommended? The bilsteins from SydneyKid, they've got 400lb/in fronts & 275/in in the rear, revalved to his specs. Intercooler, I'm just having a look at some on Rakuten.jp and some other japanese sites. Might get something from back there, GReddy, Blitz or HPI, all crossflow. Looking at roughly $450-$500 AUD + shipping... Theres not many choices except that chinese branded Justjap unless you go for blitz return flow. Yeah, only downside with Haltech is the price ahhaha, so expensive, and with all the sensors if I go that route... $$$$$ yeesh. Are headstuds/gaskets needed for <300akw?
    • Haltech fanboi reporting in. Buy the Haltech!
    • You can try shoving a borescope down there to see what's up.
    • I could see someone trying this to save money on oil changes.
