I've taken a photo of the factory boost guage in the car. When idling it reads about -4psi. From my understanding it should read 0psi. When under full boost it reads 3.5psi when it should read about 7psi (its still stock) and the car boosts fine. I was given the hint that it's probably a vacuum hose leak to the guage or something. Does anyone know how i can check the vacuum hose and where i can find it??

your gauge isint reading psi it reading hg so the 3.5 hg would be close to the 7 psi from memory

while its in the negatives its reading vacuum, not boost. anything past 0 is boost.

mmHg stands for millimeters of mercury. the standard gauge shows the units divided by 100, so the +7 and -7 are really +700 and -700 mmHg.

to convert into PSI, multiply your mmHg reading by 0.0193.
