Borrow a coil pack?

Oh no - the R is running on 5 cylinders only!

Can someone loan me a coil pack to diagnose if it is in fact a coil pack?

I'm getting fouling on the infamous #3 plug, but only after 5 mins or so of driving.

are they the same as RB20 coil packs? cos my cars in the garage without a turbo for the next week so if you can arsed comin over and taking one out be my guest

If it's a coil pack, you could just swap them from another cylinder to see whether it is indeed the coil pack? I did that with my 33. Also saves you a trip dude.

Jengi - yep have done this but trouble is that the miss isn't consistant and hard to pick at idle. Thanks for the advice.

BTW - what do second hand coil packs usually sell for?

Yep - did try the "pressurised cob web removal" method yesterday. Heard some audible detonation (not good) so adjusted the CAS back to 20 BTDC.

Also put in some new plugs as #3 was buggered. Will try subsitituting coils this arvo.

Sorted - is a rooted power transistor (square finned module that coil harness plugs into.

Adam - will drop this off this week along with some brews - what's ya preference?

If the coil packs are tha same as on a r33 gtst I've got like 4 spare ones which I bought from C-red when one of mine bailed one me! but yer if they arent compatible and ure after a second hand one, give the guys at c-red a call, they did me a good deal on them ay
