As long as the AFR's are ok, and the fuel pump isnt dying, it will be fine.

fair enough but if you can tell me how to predict the life of a standard 15yo GTR fuel pump i will buy your weight in beer...

and drink it myself.

if you can afford it a nismo fuel pump gives you piece of mind that you have a reliable, new fuel pump in your car. injectors are a great idea too as even if they are not absolutely neccesary at this point they wont become obsolete when you upgrade further.

406hp, stock injectors etc is fine.

300rwkw from GTR injectors is not out of the limits.

Personally, leave the car as is. Simple.

Save the cash for rebuild and stuff and then wind the wick up when you have it all done.

you should last a long time on 300rwkw if you look after the car well.

I'm making less power than 300rwkw and i have seen 97% on my 550 Nismo injectors. I'm actauly making more power( average power) than him, i have a trap of 118 mph (11.8 et) . Looking at this i dont know how the 440's would cope, as for the pump its still good for a bit more, but i dont know about his 15 yo pump, mine is amlost new .

I'm also using smaller turbos than the 2860 garretts you have( gtss) so it would easy to max the 44os in that set up .

Hey Guys

Injectors: Definately going to step them up, I'll need them later (hope not sooner) anyway

Pump: 17 yr old pump, what could it hurt, I'll have to change it anyway for the rebuild. The nismo item seemed kinda pricey when a 044 flows similar numbers, but by the time i do the pump and all the rest of the extras it probably wont be that much cheaper. Plus it keeps the revenue raisers of my back when they want a stickybeak.

Forgive a nooby question...If I go with the Nismo item and 700cc injectors on this current combo will i need a fuel pressure reg seeing i'm not running the injectors close to their potential?

PS: Thanks SK for the "Aftermarket Fuel Rail" Post

Nismo pump will be fine for the power you will be making with the stock reg .

good choice. nismo pump is nice and like most nismo parts goes straight in. no wiring or bracket mods needed. and flows more than enough to supply the 700s. as gerry pointed out there will be no need for an aftermarket reg.

I think you have something wrong somewhere if your making less than 300rwkw and maxing out 550's dude.

ferni, GT-SS, stock injectors approx 300rwkw

I believe rail pressure may have been bumped a little to get over the line, but thats on the limit now as i understand it with nothing left without going injectors etc.

I'll be using 550 for my GT-SS and there are definately not going to be on 97% duty.

Thats silly level of duty/risk

I intend be pushing them harder than ferni is so thats why i need them.

nismoid i think you are missing the point a little. duty cycle is influence by one thing only. the numbers the tuner inputs to the ECU. you could just about max out any injector at any power level you want. what generally happnes is that with bigger turbos more air is going in, so more fuel is needed (tuner adjusts the ecu to deliver) and as a result injector duty creeps higher it's not directly related to power. my car is reaching 100% duty at 253rwkw. BUT it runs a very safe (rich) tune for track use. saying that gerry running 97% duty is dangerous is a silly statement without knowing more about his set-up. he may be running at 97% duty but with an AFR of 11.5:1 (for whatever reason) which means he has a bit of headroom left.

Ah, but then to say that Mr. Keets needs to be careful as his larger than stock 550 injectors are maxed out under 300rwkw is essentially incorrect as the 550's support a much larger power figure.

If wrxhoon is running much richer than average tune thats his choice. Nothing wrong there at all by any means

But he should have posted that to give a fully informed choice for the information of the thread.

It all depends on how happy the dyno is too ! My point is, i have baby GT'ss turbos and i have 550's, yes i could get away with 440's with more pressure ( a bit risky though) .He has bigger turbos so 440's wont do the job. I'm only on 16 psi boost as well....
