F1 Cars at Federation Square

This is pretty special. Went to Fed Square at lunch time today, there are some F1 cars on display there at the moment. These are not like the plastic models at the motorshow - these are the REAL F1 cars from previous years.

There is BAR, Jordan Ferrari and Williams there - most of them have the electronic goodies and such removed, but the Williams car is complete from the steering wheel to the opto sensor on the back for the traction control.

They're not behind massive barriers, they're behind a piece of string so close to the cars you can easily touch them.

I'd say this is a fairly limited opportunity we have to see a real F1 car so close up! So if you have the chance, get down and check it out.
