hi just wondering if i should bother getting my ecu remapped or just go for a piggyback ecu

the reason is i have an auto r33 gts25t ser2 and my goal is to reach 250rwkw

mods i will be getting installed is:

- fmic

- hiflow rb25

- remapped ecu or piggyback ecu

i already have 3" turboback zorst and k&n panel filter

if my ecu were to get remapped would it handle that much power?

will i even reach that power with these mods?

if so does anyone know where to get my ecu remapped in sydney

preffering around western suburbs

thanks

cant remap stock rb ecus man... go for a pfc or haltech.. dnt waste time and money on piggy back crap.

...and you will need bigger injectors as well. and stock turbo dump pipes run out of breath at about 220-240kw...with all of your mods with a ecu and injectors you should get 220-230rwkw

i cant go for a pfc because they dont work with auto transmission

haltech im not too sure... thats why i am going for a piggyback ecu

also i already have a custom screamer so it shouldnt be running out of breath

You can re-map RB ECUs, Powerplay do them in Sydney... expensive but proven to work. And yes, it should handle 250rwkw easy as my mate has gone beyond that mark already with the same ECU re-mapping process.

You have a mate running an auto with transbrake? What has that got to do with a Haltech working on a auto transmission?

FYI, the Haltech does work on the auto ECU - for the e11v2 you're looking at about $2,500 for the ECU, 5bar MAP sensor, and on-board boost control - factor in a big tune and you're closer to $3.5k

Fun isn't it?

I've looked into all the options now for quite some time, still no answer!

Hydra Ems is a straight plug in ECU and controls the Auto Box features.

Same tuning capabilites as Haltech but is cheaper $1700 and has a basic tune in it.It has more Aux`s such as lauch control. It comes standard with a 3 bar map sensor and Software. The other benefits is that you can run any type of ignition with it Either Being EL coils or MSD coils With the standard Series 1 Ignitor.

IF you need anymore Information just PM me

hey satanic where abouts is this Powerplay in sydney?

do you have details? website?

i was told that a guy called toshi can remap ecu's in sydney

has anyone had any recent experience besides like a year ago

"i did a search on him and he did a couple of ecu remaps for some people but last time i heard was a year ago" i wonder if he does them still?

toshi who remaps ECUs is not the same as Tosh who works at Powerplay.

We use remapped ECUs on the racecars and have no problems.

Particularly with the ignition cut problems with auto trans there are few if any aftermarket computers that work well on them.

Do both Haltec and Hydra get their load input from MAP sensor instead of Air Flow Meters? If so this is harder to tune and produces less driveability than a standard or other AFM ECU.
