DRFT32
Hey guys quick questions. how long will a stock auto gearbox in an r32 last with around 230 rwkw? is anyone else running or seen someone run this sorta power through one? I currently am running it with 230rwkw and works ok. doesn't break traction which got me thinking, is it soaking up power? what can be done to make it run well....it just refuses to change unless i completely release the acccerlator like you would in a manual at top RPM.. Its $2500 to get it converted, would i be better to just do this ? any help would be great Aaron Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/114153-r32-auto-gearbox-life/ Share on other sites
pkblade
I'd imagine not very long. The R32 shares the same box as the R33 & they are strong but, their biggest killer is heat. Most by the time they get to your stage would have upgraded the valve body & fitted a larger trans cooler. The shift kit will help you break traction . For $2500 you can get a full trans rebuild that could handle in excess of 300rwkw.
