i saw a 98 nissan stagea in Jspec for sale landed for A$33,100. excld rego. what do guys think?!

The car has done 69,000km. Every thing is stock autech and grade 4 what do you guys think about it? and its silver.

Very nice car that one. I was having a look at it today. If J Spec say its alright and you have the dosh - I'd say go for it I love it..

I would like to know why the timing belt was changed at 50,000km?

If a 260RS doesnt have that interior, id suspect it would have recaros as many do.

I have seen that interior before in a 98 260RS. Looks right

Maybe the earlier 97 had a different interior that you are referring to Alex?

Also check with J-spec were the car is located in Japan, that it is in or near a major shipping port town

I am still waiting for my S2 to get on a boat

It has been 2 months know since I paided for the car and it still has not left

I was somewhat confused by the interior as well, the seats seem to have roughly the right shape, but wrong trim.

What caught my eye most, though, was the lower-spec (X- or G-spec, according to the Nissan archives site) front grill, with the horizontal bars, rather than the egg-crate mesh style grill of RS-spec cars.

other than the grill and trim wat other differences are they in them ?

Ipaid my 1k last nite for the car already though. If its only differences are the cosmetics i dont mind at all. All it matter its got the RB26 rngine in it

Any advice on the car? Advice such as Mods, maintain aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa9ehich woories me cos its a 8yo car im in meelbourne BTW) and recommendations to get parts (brake pads ETC) and a good mechanic tuner. Thanks

So you are the first forum person to get a 260RS coming to Melbourne? Good, love for us to all meet up and check out your car once it arrive.

Apart from cosmetics there is nothing that REALLY rings a bell, but pass the VIN number by me and ill check it in fast that its really a Autech.

On another note, RevZone in Nunawading does work on my Stagea. They have been good to me and no issues as yet.

Where is Melbourne is this car going?

Sounds like the suspension is Nismo, going by the colours

Strongly agree with alex, send the VIN number to either him or me, or post it, so we can check what it actually is! (just to make sure!).

join the club..brought both of our stageas...got a phone call yesterday to say that one is about to dock in brissie...we didnt even know it had left and then get told that mine missed the boat once and the next one leaves tuesday and hopefully it makes that one...(mine is not at a major shipping port)

Some of the R33 GTRs cam out with silver struts and red springs. The interior in the first shot is an rs4 with gtr seats. The second shot looks like my interior.

ohh ok i didnt know i will be the first one to own an autech in melbourne . I will ask Craig for the VIN number tonite and will post it later when i get it. Photos are coming tonite i think so bear with me. BTW whats a FAST? Is it a programe for parts list? If so where can i get it? Thanks

Actually the car was taken off the wholesaler last nite and it went into an auction house. Craig (jspec) actually bid for me and they got it cheaper of 100,000 yen which is cool. I can put the money into rego and insurance.

The car will be in Heathcote most of time but i normally go to melbourne Cbd for a nit on friday so....

Built 1998/01, however, the car colour is KR4, which is the same as my car, so i presume the car was once white.

Ah no, for some reason, my car comes up with KR4 as the body color, but i know it hasnt been sprayed as the interior of the car behind hte panels is all white etc.

Anyway, for people that are interested - S2 color codes

GV1 - black

EV1 - Yellow

KR4 - Silver

QT1 - White (not sure if its silky snow pearl)

AR2 - Red

DR2 - dark green

TV2 - Bayside blue

These codes are probably the same, but there are some lacking colors from the S1's like Emerald green pearl and Dark blue pearl.

Also, for those who have been confused about their cars and the sticker that says S.F.H.C, it means Super Fine Hard Coat, an option from Nissan as an overspray to protect the paint....i dont have it

Yes, you have model TGKNRFAC34UDAP88AZ, external color kr4 (which I'm pretty sure was silver for all nissans), internal color Z (grey), 4wd, rb26dett, manual. As far as I can tell

- and it is a 260rs.
