Hi, just wanna know whether a turbo with following spec would be good for my R33 RB25DET:

Compressor wheel major diameter 84

Compressor wheel minor diameter 56.5

exhaust wheel major diameter 73.8

exhaust wheel minor diameter 58

Compressor A/R 0.5

Turbine A/R 0.84

Flange dimensions 86*44.5

lubricant inlet 3/8"

lubricant oulet 2-M8*51

bearing system 2 floating

cooled by oil

My Question:

Would that turbo fit into my std. manifold?

At what rpm would it start to build up boost?

Is it safe to achieve my 500hp at the crank with that turbo?

without know the flange type you wont know if it will fit.

also what is the dump flange, as it may not suit the stock turbo.

oil cooled only sucks. also not ball bearing sucks.

your standard turbocharger is ball bearing and oil + water cooled.

start to build boost is impossible to say without compressor map or trying the turbo out yourself.

safe to achieve 500hp? not without supporting modifications no

$750 with 6months warranty.........

how do i differentiate between good/sh!t turbo?

Let me rephrase about the 500hp..... will this turbo be able to handle 500hp? coz it's rated at 650 hp.... forget about all other things for the moment.....

its not worth it IMHO and it will fail sooner or later.

There are far too many average joe turbochargers going around.

Buy a trusted and proven brand/item and it wont fail.

Plus there would be hidden costs associated in bolting that up to the RB25

If someone is asking $750 then you can tell that's not the turbo you want.

Laggy, unresponsive beast only useful on fully built motor with raised redline for drag racing. Or put it on a bigger engine. Needs different manifold and dump as well.
