Im looking to upgrade my breaks on my R32 GTS-T. I really dont know as much about breaks as I should or would like too.

I was looking at DBA 4000 rotors due to everyones suggestion. Or possibly Project mU SCR since there easier to get over here in Canada.

Will these rotors be in an improvement in stopping distance or just less fading for track purposes. My car isnt a track car but with 300whp I want to be able to stop a little quicker.

If anyone has a good idea where to start I would appreciate it. Like I said I know little about breaking systems and products.

What cond. is your current setup in? Have u had the std calipers rebuilt?

Ive got the r32 gtr front rotors and rebuilt calipers, running rb74's on the street. It'll lock the fronts if i want em to, any compound tyre..

Bigger rotors means less force on the pedal to stop..or something like that.

Thanks guys. I will be doing the pads too but I really want to shorten up my braking. Are the DBA 4000 rotors any bigger than Stock GTS-T rotors?
They are a straight replacement - just happen to have some slots machined into the surface, that's all.

I don't think bigger rotors will necessarily shorten your stopping distance - after all, its still 1400 kg of car you're trying to stop. Bigger rotor means more leverage, means less work to stop, means less heat.

If your car has ABS and the current brakes can activate it, then changing callipers, rotors or pads is a waste of money. The weak link in the stopping distance is tyres, buy the best tyres you can find. When you can longer activate the ABS, then it's time to upgrade the brakes.

:( cheers :O

SK that is the best and clearest advice I've ever read or heard regarding upgrading brakes. Nice

    • Evening fam, Pretty much what the title asks, I have looked all over and can’t find a proper answer expect one post from almost a decade ago which is vague. ive seen photos and they look pretty much identical, would an r33 GTR N1 reo work on an r32? reason I ask is they are cheaper to buy… $700 compared to 1k+ for an r32 n1 reo

    • Yeah was thinking that. I've had the car go lower idle possibly around 650rpm every once in a long time after pouring fuel and would sound quite rough like a misfire, almost like it's shit fuel or something but who knows.
    • @Wazmond you are correct, my bad, was not my intent    https://www.facebook.com/share/15ZMn5oXtc/ Updated Event (so its not private and can be shared easier)  Attempting to coordinate a big push of Stagea's to this years GTR Festival. Great event last year and hoping for the same this year.    I've emailed them to ask to set a location aside for the Stageas for the show and shine - they are happy to do so if we can get them numbers, I'm happy to keep track of that. Entering as Nismo category.    I'll be road tripping up from Melbourne, would be cool to convey if people are interested, maybe there is SAU convoys from each capital? If you have ideas about that let me know.    https://gtrfestival.com.au
