So, guys, I am seriously thinking to sell my car.

I will be taking the R34 GTT route most likely, given that when I call vicroads tomorrow it isnt a P plate illegal car.

I know that I wont recoup 50% of the cash I spent on my car, but just want to get an idea of what people may be interested in buying off me.

The things that I would have to part with would be

- Hertz stereo HSK-165 splits front, HCK-165 2 way splits rears and Audison 4 channel amp (Id need to trade interior parts as Ive mounted the tweeters in the A-Pillars). Was ~1300 for the gear+serveral hours labour by me. Consider cash adjustment with a trade for stock system (id remove like $100 from the price for the stock speakers). Would be asking about 800 bucks for the lot. Hertz/Audison is some of the best stuff on the market

- Fujitsubo Legalis R catback, full SS, was $1200 new, in VGC no scratches etc, would ask around $700

- GTR FMIC + LEGAL custom made STAINLES STEEL piping to avoid cutting the batt tray. I would want to trade for a non-trimmed front bar support and front spoiler lower lip (which needs trimming any way). Was $1100 to fit and custom make pipes, $300 for the cooler. Id ask $900 including the trades.

- Full SK suspension kit with ~10,000km on it. Shocks, Springs, Swaybars, Castor rods (if swapped) and Camber arms (If swapped). Id be after 60% whatever SK asks for the stuff new. Mostly city driving too, so they are basically new. Ill install with you too if in Melbourne.

- 2T towbar MAY be sold, probably not though. Would ask around $400 + trade of rear bar (Mine is cut for a towbar at the moment)

Thats about it.

Let me know, as this could quite effect if I change or not.

Before you all jump out at me why I am selling. Well, this car is TOO good for me at this point in my life. Also since I bought the car, the business has grown beyond only filling my car up so we have a contract driver now. I need something a little more sporty for now but I gaurentee you all that I WILL be rejoining the stagea crew later in life. These cars are BRILIANT. I'd keep posting in this forum and I'd keep coming to the events as everyone here is a great person.

Thanks,

Alex

I can buy it all again and install it in the GTT.

Id keep it, but the speakers in the Stagea are SO specific its crazy. I mean, the spacers are a triangle shape with little rods poking out of them etc, they are quite unique. Plus.... i cut into the A pillars to mount the tweeters, so id love to trade with someone who wanted a killer stereo.

Thanks for the interest, Ill have a look see over the next few months and see if I can find anything. In that case, Id sell the stuff from the car.

Ive also got some PONCAMS that are on their way to me right now, also might consider selling some SSS pads and DBA slotted discs (unless i put them on and sell em with the car)

I have no idea what poncams are, so out of curiosity... what are they?

Would love the discs, though... suspension (if Kris and darrin change their minds), and exhaust.

Do you have any pics of the i/c install?

cheers alex

..and I'm assuming you didn't want my R34? (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=98570) (put it up here a while ago for sale, no takers so have kept it. Wife still mentions it a bit though, as we don't really need it and the stagea...)

Ian.

Sorry Ian, but one of the main points to changing cars would be to go to something that is Manual. If your car was manual, id definatly consider it.

Qikstagea, pictures of the FMIC install at in "The Intercooler Thread" which i started. Here is a link - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=92828&hl=

As you can see, I took the most care in making the pipes avoid cutting any holes. Also, id be wanting to sell the whole thing as a front bar re-o swap over as there are mounts welded onto the re-o and its slightly trimmed.

I guess most things off my car will be able to be sold as it appears, so this helps me in my decision makings.

Will keep everyone posted.

Sway bars and castor rods and the towbar would be the only things I would be interested in.

ooo ooo oooo oooo - towbar, I forgot about that one..... hmm would love a GCG turbo & a towbar, then!

Towbar for shipping might be a few $$ tho me thinks, hey Ska!

I'm actually finding that I often prefer driving the R34 compared to the stagea. They both have the NEO engine etc, but around town I prefer the auto! (remember, it's the much better tiptronic R34 auto than what is in the series 1 stageas, with paddles on the steering wheel as well..)

Although the manual does stop one problem out on the highway, in the R34 if you are doing 100km/h and pull out to go past a big truck (remember I do a lot of country driving) on a road that doesn't have that much room, you put the foot down a bit. But then SEVERAL things happen - the computer drops it a gear, the revs leap up, the turbo spools up because of the rev increase, and you're suddenly doing 160km/h a few seconds later! No problem overtaking, but you have to hope there isn't a radar around!

Whereas with the manual, you put the foot down a bit and you smoothly increase speed as it hasn't dropped a gear and made the turbo go...

Actually, on that, another off topic point - the stagea turbo definitely 'comes in' at a different point than the R34 turbo...

Ok, no-one hold your breaths as I will need to organize this very smoothly so I am either not stuck with two cars for too long, or without a car for a long time.

Ill keep everyone posted what ill be removing as I go along. Thank you all

ian - its not for cruising around that i am selling the stagea, I am selling it because at those times in my life that i wish it was just a little lighter, a little more manual or a little nimbler, it just isnt. I can gaurentee that I take the stagea well beyond the specifications of what nissan ever intended for it, and even what most people would consider a wagon should do. For this reason, i beleive a manual/sports car will better suit my needs at this time.

I shall be back though, when I need a wagon again (lets just hope its not kids on the way any time soon, im only 19!! (as of in 2 days time)

Nah, 19 is when you should be doing them! When you are are young and have all that energy to run around after them! You can afford to get divorced 'cause you don't have any assets to split! :P I could go on, but don't want too many bricks thrown at me..

I second that
