Hello,

have done a search and couldnt find what i was looking for. Have just purcahsed a head uni for my r34 (Pioneer DEH-9650mp) but am not sure if i should give a shot installing it myself or get someone else to do it. I found a diy guide on r34gtt.net regarding how to remove the particular bits in order to remove and replace the old head unit with the new one and single din unit however it doesnt say anything about wiring it up. Is it as simple as removing a few wries/plugs from the old head unit and putting them into the new deck or is it a little more complicated? i paid a fair bit for the new deck so dont wanna bugger it up, thanks guys!

you'll have to cut and solder in the new deck's wiring loom to the original audio plugs. shouldn't take you more than half an hour to fit it.

I have a diagram of the later model pinouts (from an S15,but the positions are the same) that I can dig up if you want it.

Justin...

actually DON'T chop the connector off. buy a late model nissan adapting plug and match the colors. easier and less stressful/ have them here $15. you will also need and antenna adapter as that one is the 2pin nissan item.
