I got a jack the other day and to get to the central lifting point at the front i had to drive my car on to bricks so i could use the handle , my car is about 140mm height at the front and the jack just fits under but once it is under u cant move the handle up and down the bricks just give u enuff clearance. It say that jack your looking at is 170mm high so u might have problems to jack up the front

Looks like a beauty i have to say , 3.5ton 10 pumps to full height u could work on trucks

that one looks quite good. i once bought an aluminium racing jack off ebay before and it was great...for about 3 days. it was a super low, quick lift - 7 pumps to full height and was awesome. BUT the plate was also made of aluminium and once whilst jacking up a car it just snapped and a piece went flying. had it hit anyone around it in the face there would have been some serious injury. since then we've had to rebuild it a couple of times, and it sometimes sticks, sometimes bleeds down basically it's ready for the bin.

this one looks much better though being twin pump and having a steel (i think) plate.

Ive use that type of jack at my local tyre centre. not sure about brand but the ones ive used are very sturdy, take stuff all effort to jack up, and i would trust my life getting under one of these! :) no not really. But seriously, they are quite strong. This is on ebay, are you planning to buy this off ebay? Mate, your gonna be paying alot for freight! They weigh heaps

Thanks for the replies guys

i've sent him off a query about what material the plate is made out of.

Yep, it's on ebay. The freight is only $15 on melb, as I'd say he just goes and delivers it. Or I could just go pick it up.

I'm a little worried I may end up in a similar situation Richard, but I guess it may just be a risk I have to take. I might try and arrange to go and see it first.

    • Thank you all for you assistance. I contacted Nistune regarding the support for the RB20DE along with my ECU Code (23710-10U00). They do have a map for it and added the RB20DE as a purchasable option now as well. They also added Malta as a Billing and Delivery options as this was missing. I was honestly amazed at their quick response and action, it took less than 24 hours. I also looked again at direct fit options for injectors, just in case I were to replace them. DeatschWerks seem to use a Bosch EV14 base and makes ones that fit mine at 440cc lowest, but also have 550cc at the same price. I tried looking for other direct fit options and managed to find one (also Bosch EV14 based) which includes a plug and play adapter on ebay. Did a small test with a Noid Light on the troubled injectors and all seems good, so they are pulsing properly electrically. One weird part is that they are missing on the same two cylinders as before I got the injectors cleaned. Mechanic also found this weird as he did not label the injectors and it is unlikely to have the faulty injectors be installed in the same cylinders.
    • Nice, let me know how you find the 98 tune
    • Put a hand on an injector and see if that's what the buzzing is. You might be triggering the injectors by moving off idle command.
    • Ah, should have been clearer. Currently has a flex sensor installed all good to go.    like u mentioned, I’ve only ever known the car on e85, I might hate 98, but I have to try it out first. Everyone says the -5 turbos get pretty laggy on 98 octane tho…
    • Duncan , the plan is to get the down pipes done then I book it in for the full tune . Most likely late May , that's the plan.
