Antenna Stuck Up

got in my car ths morning and turned the streo on and as usual even with cds, the antenna goes up...anyway when i went to turn it off, the antenna tried to fold down but all i could hear was a loud grinding sound, like teeth missing agaist each other(if that makes sense) and then quite... its now stuck up and i cant even push it back down.

sounds like the motor for it is working but nothings happening... any ideas and fixes???

looks like a dam remote control car with the areial sticking up all the time lol
