Rb20det Gearboxes

not sure if you guys already knoe or not but you can put a vg30 box on an rb.It is exactly the same box as a rb25 but with a different bell and extesion housing.i got one from ekw for $550 then i bought a rb26 bell off the forums here for $100 so for $650 i got me a rb25 box!!the shifter location is around 40mm further back but that didnt affect me coz its in a 240z.also the taishaft will be a different length but that doesnt matter if you have to get one made anyway..Just thought id throw that 1 out there..

i know of a 300zx box in a 32 also... pretty much same as rb25, the gear lever did feel very different though...

yeah they have like a external shifter linkage attached to the box instead of the internal one inside the extension housing on the rb25

Honestly, i will be surprised if i run any quicker then a 12.6...which i will still be happy with...but im betting i wont kill the gearbox. Mine just does not want to seem to die
