32 Gtr Req. Oil Cooler?

hey all,

I was checking out a 32 gtr the other day and the guy told me that he had to buy an oil cooler because in heavy traffic 32 gtrs are apparently prone to oil temp rises. True/false? Or has he probably put an oil cooler on for the odd track day?

Mine is fine, maybe that one is a dud or the thermostat was buggered. Tell him to replace the thermostat first before getting an oil cooler.

False. GT-R's get hot oil only on a race track. They do have an oil warmer/cooler linked to the water system but this doesn't have much effect other than warming the oil a bit quicker on cold mornings. It doesn't seem to remove a great deal of heat from the oil system.
