Vehicle Warranty

i have had my car now for 8 months, kept up all the services sent in the stamped coupon and stuck to their rules about the car, and reciently my engine decided that it had enough and i have blown a ring. I have a warranty with this company that now doesnt want to pay up. (if you read between the lines you will figure it out even if it takes you 24/7). i just wanna know if anyone has had a problem with any of these companies that sell warrantys? what should i do? should i contact consumer affairs or even ACA, Today Tonight.

any help or thought guys would be great.

hmm, i havent had a problem with my warranty company. But then again the water pump was just a small thing. Id try and get them to pay up again, if not then consumer affairs.

when you read their lines, it says the warrany company reserves the right to not hounor their claims at any time. so it really depends how these dodgy ppl feel i guess. good luck with it!

do u mind if i ask which company is this? pm me if you want to. coz im with one company as well and have not made any claims yet.cheers

Sounds like the norm for these companies. Youre going to have to prove it failed due to general fatigue/wear and tear. If it failed due to detonation etc youre not going to see a cent.

hey guys,

pulled the engine down and found the piston skirt was broke. a piece about 1 inch long had broken off between the 2 compression rings. holy shit hey. scored no 6. bore pretty well to. lucky i pulled it down when i did. now as for the company...... its actually stated in my first post. dont know if im allowed to state the company on the forum and dont want to get the adminos in troulbe or myself...... but...... the company is stated in my first post.... you just have to read it again. one statemne has nothing to do with my topic...... hehe.
