Cheapie gauges are cool too the $35 autogauge ones lots of people on a budget use... shit I even know people who use kmart gauges hehe

alex_r33 you're better putting oil temp, water temp or oil pressure if you want something useful but if your car is a stocker and you don't go to track days and the like you're better off not gauge mounting and mount the boost gauge somewhere else and leave it at that. Anything else is a waste of money imo. I wouldn't even both with anything other than a boost gauge on a stock non track driven car.

yeah good point. I was thinking that the oil pressue and water temp ones would be unnessary as they are already on the dash.

not bad..

if they are acurate, it would be good to get a boost, oil temp and water temp ones..

I wonder if I can fit all 3 in the custom factory made "89 R32 center dash vent/gauge pod"

It't probably be cheaper than replacement vents...

seriously though, I reckon it'd be a good idea. anyone done it? or is the concept of putting a hole in the vent system overly evil?

Would it be legal (if not, why not)? aside from being a little small, I'd like a boost gague in my car... heh.

I had decided to use VDO gauges for oil temp, oil pressure, water temp in to the center vent area.

I might use these.. but I need to find the smallest gauge I can get..

I think that 2 inch is the smallest.

it actually works out better with the center vents blocked off.

the passenger and drivers side vents push heaps more air out.

I'll search for this thread and insert pics when I rig something out..

gotta do proper measurements first.

Not referring to you but it just made me think of something funny heh in pimp my ride I remember once they did a A pillar dual gauge install and it was on a typical piece of shit car so they used a mini tacho and a clock.. an actual clock. LOL

Did I just read a thread, about someone asking what tool measures boost, then says, no I don't want that tool that measures boost, then says, there must be something that measures boost? Then gets told again, yeah, its a boost gauge, then goes, no its not, thats rice, I want something that measures boost..... :P

Cause I want to know hom many rpms I'm doing, don't want a tacho tho... actually, i kinda want no gauges at all, but I DO want to know how fast i'm going, what boost I'm running, and I'll need to keep an eye on temp aswell.... no gauges tho please.... i hate rice. shoot me.
