Arp Rod Bolts

Everyone always says to use ARP Rod Bolts...but ARP what. ARP2000???? Are they the go?

for sr20 and vg30 ie: american deliverd engines.

they dont do it for rb's. people use vg30 ones but tey arnt quite long enough.(this is for standard rods of course)

yep arp2000 is the most commonly used arp rod bolt.

i heard the SR20 rod bolts from ARP go straight in the RB30 rods

I just bought some rods and they came with ARP2000 bolts...was just wondering if they were the ones typically used....big revs and big boost here i come:)

vg30de/sr20 rod bolts DONOT work on rb20 rods, i know i have a set .

looking to find out what bolts fit as arp seems to have no idea what works (least we cant seem to tell them what exactly we need).

the vg bolts are too long and dont provide enough thread engagement as the nut bottoms out before its secure and you cant tap them out to the proper size as it causes stress risers...

i did put a post up on nicoclub.com in the rb section about what parts to buy for main studs and head bolts, perhaps some help.

No idea....im just bought rods that came with the ARPs from the factory....hows the build going?

Whats wrong with the factory RB20DET rod bolts?

They look about as strong as a Big Block Chev V8 to me.
