Hey guys, just letting you know about some usefull information about the *richard cranium* Brent Richards at Nengun and if you are after parts why to go elsewhere, I decided to purchase a Apex pod filter kit off them about a month ago because they had them for a decent price, transfered the money into his account, a few days later on the 5th of April i got confirmation that he received the money and he told me that i should recieve it on the 17th of april and he will email me a EMS tracking number, waited untill yesterday which was the 29th of April and emailed him and asked why i havnt received the filter or Tracking number and basically said that i didnt like the way that he run his business so he cancelled my account with them, so i am still unsure if im going to recieve my filter kit and if he didnt cancel my account i would have done it soon after anyway. I dont think that is how you are suposed to treat your customers and how he can get away with running a business so dodgy... :D

I have bought $1000s worth of gear from Nengun over the years. Some things have taken a little longer than stated as all businesses do, but generally always pretty good, especially for the prices you get. Let me see did you ask politely first why it was late and when it might turn up or like you said above just go straight in and attack his business without trying to get an explaination. Then instead of trying to sort it out with him you just go slagging him on the forums. . . .nice work.

I personally couldn't run an internet business because you have to deal with people who hide behind the keyboard. . . . .

what Jason said.

i myself have ordered about 6k worth of parts from Nengun in the past and never once had any problems. His delivery may be late sometimes and it always arrived at my doorsteps.

you will get your pod filter.... just have to be a little bit more patient.

jason and glenn sum it up pretty well.

ive had good experiences with nengun before. at times things take longer to arrive than normal but usually thats due to the items not being in stock, various public holidays and delays in shipping. all things outta brents control.

he has always been helpfull regarding queries about products and any other information i have asked him about.

have you checked your parcels progress using your ems tracking number?

I currently have 1000 dollars worth of parts in shipping. i have ordered close to 6000 or so dollars worth of parts over the years from nengun.

I've also purchased $1000's of dollars worth of parts from Nengun and have never had a problem. As others have stated, yes sometimes the parts may take a little longer to reach you, but it's worth it with the saving you've made.

I think your jumping the gun a little bit and I've always found Brent to be very easy to deal with. Even had many conversations with him regarding my car and the modifications being done to it.

I haven't had an issue with them so far. Yeh, their postage is a little slow, but they do point out in the postage section that it may take a while for you to recieve your parts. The boost controller I bought took 3 months to arrive, and I did send them at email about it. I got a response within a couple hours with an apology, and a reasoning as to why it took so long... I don't think you're providing us with the whole story... they have been nothing but willing to fix the situation with me :worship:

I have purchased $5000 from neugun over a period of about 2 years.... No problems...

Until i bought a $60 nismo key and it still has not arrived and that was about 4 months ago...

At the end of the day, if you want it cheaper (ie. buy from overseas and not your local supplier) then you have to expect some service differences, also supply time differences. Its the risk you take when buying online. Bigger items i will buy from autobarn from now on. Even tho they are more expensive they have a local warranty and i can get it quick smart and if i have trouble i can take it back.

Remember its the service you are paying for...!!!

But at the end of the day i would use neugun again to buy items you cant get elsewhere...

I have spent around $15K through them and had major problems at the start with a few items. I politely asked what the issue was and was blatantly lied to on a few occasions. My emails became a little more demanding and after I explained that I had no issue with waiting for the parts, I didn't wish to be told they would arrive on a certain date and then still be waiting a month later...or being told they have been sent and still waiting a month later. Things immediately became better and he appologised to me in a personal email. These issues I had were on my first order with them. Most of the problems I have heard from people are when they order $60 keys or $70 filters or $30 vacuum hose. I believe that with small orders like these they are sent to another person in Australia who then seperates the items into smaller packages and then re-posts them to their final destination. The smallest orders always take the longest. Make an order for $1000 of gear and you will see the lot in 14-18 days.

I'm not saying that it is the absolute best way to run a business like that but stop and look at the big picture for a bit....Cheapest prices on the net, god knows how many order or even enquiries they get daily....cut 'em some slack and be up front.

On a seperate note....DOU33 has an Apexi Power intake which is practically new that I am removing from his car, if you would like to talk to him, he may sell it for a good price.

i havnt had any communication at all with brent at all since i started using nengun.. i order.. it comes to my door.. i also agree that it was wrong to say "i didnt like the way that he run his business" in ur first email without explanation.

but dont get me wrong, i understand if the package takes long of course u be pissed esp if it goes beyond theyre delivery date. but for the price it should be worth it!

Personally, if the product or service is late, and you havent told the customer it will be late (12days and counting in this case) no matter how big or small the order is, you should be WELL prepared to cop a fair slaging on the chin, and not chuck a sooky la la at the customer. You stay calm, explain the problem to them, appologise like nothing else, make them happy. Then hang up the phone and call them whatever you like really if you havent told them whats going on, it is bad customer service and you have asked for it. Even if they are spending only $10, you dont know how much they have to spend in years to come. End of it, no customers, no money, no money, no food.

That said, there are also ways of asking for things. There is no need to be rude to people. But still customers are who pay the bills, you do not piss them off.

I've bought a few bits from nengun in the last few years and initially had a lot of problems with my pfc. It ended up taking 3 months and ended up being for a gtr not gtst which was partially my fault and partially the website which has since been improved.

In saying all this I am yet to find a cheaper source for parts and have bought over 6 grand worth of bits from Brent.

You have to be patient and expect hiccups if buying from the other side of the planet. If you fly off the handle don't expect the greatest treatment.

Cheers

Yeah...

I work in retail... If someone goes off the handle at the drop of a hat I just walk away...

I mean its too much trouble. I say "Ill give you a refund, its the best thing for me to do". As even if the customer is out of his/her field of expertice the customer is always right. Plus customer that go nuts for absolutlly no reason (Screamers) id prefer to let on of our competitors have them... LOL

So id send an email and say whats the go... Can you please let me know when the parts are coming. If not can i please get a refund as I would like to purchase them ASAP.

Thank You

    • Hi all,   I’ve got the biggest lot of problems with my R33 GTS-T   It was a freshly rebuilt 25th anniversary RB25DET (plastic cas, neo cams) probably 6 years ago now   The engine was running so well but I fkd up badly and trusted someone I’d known for 10 years that was well known around Plazmaman for his welding and fab work. I added a lovely photo of some of his previous work. Not sure why my car was worked on by whoever did this shit     I’m normally someone who would never open myself up to something like this, I still can’t believe I did it. Trusting him literally fkd it all up for me. Everything has been a struggle, like it’s almost been 6 years that’s how much I’ve just on and off been trying to work it all out.    All I wanted was a car that danced down low, like full boost from around 3~3500rpm to redline, don’t really care what power it puts down (if it ever does) but I just wanted it to be quick to get on it.    He recommended the turbo to get, I picked Hypergear but he told me to get the front 4” with a T4 and 0.68 rear housing.    I was expecting all these beautiful welds, tidy fab work and paid for it to be ready to go to a tuner when I got it back.    I got a car back that was an absolute mess, I actually couldn’t believe it was my car anymore. I don’t think you could even call what he did welds, they’re disgusting.    So I stripped everything he touched off it and with every bolt I loosened it just got worse and worse.    I covered it and literally built and finished another car in the meantime but now it’s getting to the point where I really want my Skyline back.   Its a struggle because I paid him to do all this shit because I didn’t know how to and now I’ve had to try and figure it all out omg    Please excuse the bird shit horrible welds, I’ve got my show pony car and am so beyond dealing with this car I don’t even really care at this point.    If someone told me about what he did to my car I wouldn’t have believed them but it happened to me. It was unbelievable. He went missing, my car went missing, it came back missing parts, the straight af chassis rails bore the scars of being dragged up a trailer backwards, even the sandwich plate was bent. Everything was leaking and open to whatever fell into it, rounded off/ missing bolts, power steering oil and coolant everywhere, no gaskets, parts stolen off it, even managed to damage the sump pan.   Promised me he’d finish the car, knew what it meant to me, I paid him thousands and thousands just for him to trash it. He told me he was fully licensed and insured, come to find out he’d cancelled his ABN, so obviously no insurance. I had laid up insurance on the car and would’ve been covered but I was scared they would’ve written it off or because the business was no longer trading I’d still be liable.    He was supposed to:  New fully custom mild steam pipe exhaust manifold with turbo location moved from factory position to high forward mount. (I don’t know if it is a mild steam pipe, I’ve got a funny feeling the waste gate isn’t in a very good position and I don’t think the outlets off each cylinder are equal) 4” custom stainless steel dump with external gate (he re-plumbed it) Cut and shut OEM intake manifold with throttle reposition (I ended up doing the throttle reposition) Box in pod filter (left out) New 100cel catalytic converter (pretty sure it’s there but unsure if it’s 100cel) Front mount intercooler piping fabricated to suit (all smashed up and rusty holes where he was supposed to make it look standard where fmic piping passes through. I don’t even think my front bar is going to fit 🙄) Custom 5” intake pipe from pod to turbo (didn’t come with it so had to do something to make it work with the Z32 afm)   Engine: Full cylinder head service & machining  Brand new valves Precision upgraded spring kit Engine block honed New bearings  New piston rings  New ARP conrod bolt kit New ARP head studs Cometic head gasket VRS kit   ATR43SS2 ball bearing turbo 0.68 rear housing  Turbosmart 45mm external wastegate (got delivered to the fab bloke, I’ve got no idea what spring is in it, I’m assuming the one that came pre installed) Walbro 260 fuel pump  Nismo 740cc injectors (tested to 880) Spitfire coil packs GCG FMIC RB25DET manual 5 speed 4:11 rear diff   I’ve got an Apexi Power FC in it atm, I was hoping to just get it to operating temp to make sure everything was okay before towing to a tuner but it’s over-fuelling too much. I don’t think that’s going to happen so i think I’m going to get either a Link G4 or Haltech for it. What do you guys recommend? I can’t work out the power FC so just gonna give up on that one     It’s got an exhaust leak coming from somewhere I can’t see 🙄    The fuel pressure was steady but now it like drops from 40 to 20psi randomly (noticed this yesterday)    I’ll attach pics of the shit he put on my car and the engine bay now as it sits    I really just need some help, I need a tuner in Sydney I can trust, I’d like to be with the car while it’s being tuned if possible, I know it looks terrible but unfortunately I’ve just got to put up with it for now and fix the cosmetic stuff later   Do you guys think the manifolds are going to be okay? Or do I throw the exhaust manifold and try again?   I don’t even think these combinations are going to work tbh   I know everything I fitted was rated to be able to take at least 400kW but most rated higher    If you’ve gotten this far I really really appreciate it 🙏 I don’t mind if you trash me or the car, I made a rookie error and f**k I’ve paid for it. As you’ll see 🙄
    • From everything I’ve heard you’ll be waiting a long time for  the parts to arrive
    • Have you looked at the workshop manual?
    • Hmm. I've gotten pretty good outcomes from talking to them about things that I've had go wrong or ideas for improvement. Have had a lot to say about the R32 FUCAs, and they have sent out some replacement parts for those, gratis, on a couple of occasions. Mind you, I have bought a couple hundreds of $ of replacement rod ends for them too!
    • I have a r34 sedan 1999 manual converted need some help with my speedometer it only reads upto 98km and then stops currently still running the auto cluster any easy fixes no speedo drive is connected yet, if someone has a video for wiring up the manual speedo sensor with the auto cluster please send through
