Double Points On Second Offence

Ha Ha Ha, im laughing because the draconian anti-hoon legislation is going to impact the jobs and lives of the average Jo's who praised the crackdown on cars like ours. the new legislation states that if you get caught speeding within 12 months of your last speeding offence you will acrue double demerit points for the second offence....what this means is if you get caught doing 116km/h in a 100 zone (3 demerit points) and again within a 12 month period you will get a 6 demerit point fine, thats 9 points lost in a 12 month period.(3 years is a long time on 3 points even for the most careful drivers. There is going to be a lot of pissed off soccer mums and tradies out there who cannot get a work licence because acrual of demerit points is not eligible for this special licence, and this affects their children and jobs.

Ha haha ha, i wonder how long it takes the government to do a backflip on this one, probably around next election.

Well soccer mums shouldnt be speeding in the first place with kids in the car.

Tradies shouldnt be speeding, especially if they have buisness advertised on their car.

IMO, its a good idea which should deter repeat offenders, well hopefully anyway.
