I think your asking,

why is my car making 6psi in first gear and 10psi in 2nd gear?

I dont know about R34's but some cars are just set up that way, making a lower boost setting in the first gear and then high boost in second gear or higher. Aa far as I know this is just to help with traction issues.

dude, i had this EXACT issue with my R34, but it's manual.

It wasn't making full boost in 1st and 2nd, but was fine for 3rd, 4th and 5th.

Full boost seems to be a bit past the 3/4 mark on the factory guage, about halfway between the last quarter.

now... it was doing this after being rarely driven for bout 20 months... funny thing, it's not doing it anywmore. So i can't really explain what happened for the first week or so where it was being driven every day, after 20 months of practically not being driven at all.

didn't really get a definitive answer from my thread about it...

Yeah thats exactly right,

First gear hit 6psi, second about 10psi.

And increasing the boost doesnt do anythign either. first gear goes up to say 10psi and second, third and forth 15psi.

If i run my car at high boost what are the effects?

Running a standard turbo on R34 with blow off valve and FMIC

more engine load in higher gears. to check boost pressure accuretly you should be in top gear. 3rd in auto & 4th in manual.
