hey guys,

havin a bit of trouble removing my factory spoiler on my 92 r32 gts.

i've taken off the 3 10mm bolts on the underside of the bootlid, but it seems to be still firmly secured.

i think there's probably some plastic clips holding it in further down the spoiler, but out of reach from the hole in the bootlid.

anyone know how this can be done?

any help would b much appreciated.

cheers.

scott.

its basically some sort of double sided tape or adhesive was a c**t to get off for me as well but was well worth it :) and its on either side of the wing next to each bolt.

I removed the bolts then used a thin strong bladed knife and forced it between the spoiler and boot, making sure it was closer to the spoiler then the boot and basically cut through it. removing the sticky adhesive off the boot was a pain in the arse tho.

did mine over the weekend and there are 3 bolts from underneath and the advesive tape and 2 plastic clips (which are only on the middle section of the wing) These clips just snapped off when i did mine (but were stubborn).. another trick which i used was to break the seal of the tape using some fishing line. and as BSK said, removing the residue from the tape etc is a right pain in the arse..

on a side note, what have people used to block up the holes left? ive just used some tape for now (as il get it filled and painted eventually). but i havnt driven n the rain yet.. i was thinking some sort of rubber grommet?

i used gaffer tape it looked shit but kept the rain out..i guess if you got tape the same colour as your car (assuming u dont have some crazy paint job) then i guess it would look alright. and my holes are filled now so im happy :O

ive seen regular grommets used and also some funky machined looking metal fittings held on with a nut on the under side i think... wouldnt mind finding out where to get these. anyone?

until then black gaffer tape on a black car will do me fine.
