It is a sad announcement but SWOOP is up for sale (Happy for the guy who owns it next). Those of you who are lovers of Skylines would know of GTR R34 and would have heard about SWOOP.

I have had it for only 4 months and it has been the most exciting 4 months of my life. I'm now ready to pass on the excitement to someone else. (Very relunctantly)

If you have been looking for a genuine, immaculate R34 GTR, this is it. No prangs, no engine mods, just a superb piece of machinery.

If you have the $$$ and is genuinely in the market for a top quality R34 GTR, drop me a line or PM me. No time wasters please.

I will sell the famous "SWOOP" plates with the car as I think it is the car's identity.

Do a search on "SWOOP" in this forum and you will realise how famous this car is.

Why SWOOP? WHY? :P

This truly is an amazing machine and i'd sell my house to buy it! Worth every dollar and i can vouch for it, i read all 50 pages of SWOOP's 1st thread (Goddamn my eyes hurt after dat!)! Good luck in selling it, the new owner will be very impressed! FREE Bump!:uh-huh:

Come on guys what happened to all those lunch money you saved up in primary and highh school. Surely it would add up to couple hundred grand by now.

Take a loan from your grandma, tell her you''ll pay her back in 20 years. :P

can you tell us abit more about it like mileage what sort of money are you chasing for it any mods (yes i know he has said no mods but in the photos there is a AVC-R Boost controller and what looks like a apexi exhaust sysytem)what year is it and what model V-spec or not and wold you consider a trade.

Ok guys, here are the full specs but I will not list price on the forum. If you are genuinely interested, PM with unanswered questions but this thread is not intended for negotiation. Let just say that in aint your average GTR R34 and it aint less than $100k. If you want to make a reasonable offer, PM me or call me and I'll give you the price I'm after.

You are wasting your time if you are after a cheap R34 GTR. This is in prestine condition and arrived in Australia with only 3000km on the clock, next to brand new.

And when I say no mods, I meant no engine modifications, Just exhaust, electronic boost and HKS Intercooler. That is it....oh, and 4 new tyre caps but some damn kids pinched all four now. :P

The mirrors were $900. The DVD system sounds better than some home theatre system I have heard, seriously.

Full Descriptin: Nissan Skyline GTR R34 V-Spec, 1999, 16500km

4WD, V SPEC, FULL NISMO BODY KIT, Twin Air Bag, Power Steering, Power Windows, CARBON FIBRE Power Aero Mirrors, Central Locking, Climate Control Air Conditioning, HKS Exhaust, HKS GT Front Mount Intercooler, NISMO 320 Klm Instruments, V SPEC II NUR Badging, APEXI AVC-R, HKS Rev/Speed Limiter, G Tech Performance Meter, Full Double Din DVD/TV/MP3 in dash Entertainment system, BOSTON Speakers, Black on Gold NSW Number Plates "SWOOP", Registration, Warranty. ALL PERFORMANCE PARTS AND NISMO BODY KIT FITTED NEW IN AUSTRALIA BY POWERPLAY IMPORTS"

...close but no cigars. :D

If you read my description earlier, I said that if you are after a GTR R34 under $100k, you are wasting yout time. Anything under 100K would have been in a prang or have been thrashed at race track in Tokyo. SWOOP has never been on a race track and had 3000km on the clock when it arrived in Australia.

Seriously, this is a grade 5 and not a scratch. I will deduct $1k off for each scratch you can find....and I don't mean microscopic ones from the swirl marks. hahah

  • 1 month later...

Next car? Prob thinking of Merc ML 350 (4WD). Going back to luxury. GTR was awesome when it lasted but it was never a long term thing for me, more of an early mid life crisis, even though I'm not even 30. hehe

Also, with the import law restricting more GTR R34 coming into the country, I thought its time to pass on the privilege to someone else to enjoy. After seeing what potentially the R35 will look like. I know the R34 looks much more agressive and the RB26 will remain a legend.

No offence dude, but i think your car is too overpriced....

Its already 4 years old...If you were to peg your car's brand new price to say, a 1999 M roadster (130k)

it should be worth about 85k now

c'mon...

where are the moderators wen u need them...

Usuckpoo...that is exactly what I think of you. You obviously do not know a GTR from shit man....GTR R34 varies from $85 to $125k depending whats on it and what's been done to it. Starting at the $85k scale, you have min 30, 000km on the clock, been on track and over thrashed, then you have the ones about $100k with lower Ks but still prob been on the track and thrashed, and then you have the upper scale GTR R34 with low Ks, stock standard on purchase and add on original Nismo parts.... and where do you get off comparing a GTR, one of a kind to a BMW Roadster? Did you stumble across this forum by accident kiddo?

All in all, say what's on your mind but if you can't afford it, just leave it at that, this post was not suppose to be for discussion or for opinions without facts to back it up. Sure I have seen $85k GTR but I know it's not in the condition SWOOP is in, now way. See it in the flesh anc compare a $85k GTR Vs a $100K plus GTR and you can count the difference if not the scratches on the cheaper model. Sorry but I did take offence and you will find others will too if you start comparing any GTR with BMW roadster.

    • A locally delivered Infiniti have remote start installed but don't come with the remote start key. You need a new remote start key and they just need it programed. And this is different to making/programing a new key that just starts the car.
    • Cheers, and cheers for sharing so much of the build and also sharing the glimpse of what turns out to bring a lot of us poor decision makers together haha.  I do recommend learning more about how to manage it, if not considering getting a  formal diagnosis.  The discussion with the psychiatrist I got my diagnosis through was quite eye opening, things I'd not even considered to be ADHD related and hadn't mentioned were things she asked about out of the blue and were common themes with people with my flavour of ADHD.   It's not a label for people who are hyperactive and ill-attentive, there's more to it than that and some of it can be much more challenging or damaging - though there are of course two sides to the thing, and a lot of the stuff we have to go through and work on to live with it make us effectively "better" at other things as well. Aside from the fact that there is some argument I could have a bit of ASD seasoning in there (came up during the diagnosis, and neurodiverse things seem to not stay as a cookie cut) I suspect you need to learn more about ADHD if you are puzzled about how hyperfocus could possibly apply.  I *do* personally use "superpower" with quotes deliberately, but it's 100% an ADHD thing due to the exact reason that lack of focus is also an ADHD thing... Loosely speaking the inattentive side of ADHD isn't the inability to focus, it's the inability to control where the focus goes.  Not being able to sleep because brain is more interested in thinking about a stupid thing I said to a girl I liked 30 years ago, not being able to focus on work because my brain is more keen on putting together the torque management strategy we're going to try out with a drag car next weekend, not being able to focus on a conversation with someone I WANT to listen to and respect because there is a flickering light in my peripheral vision.    If I could just stop work and build the torque management setup right there and then I'd not hear anything else until it was done.
    • Maybe you should do some more reading.  Google positive effects of ADHD and you'll get your answers.  One of my personal downsides of ADHD has been talking before I think.   Maybe you have it too?
    • Excuse me for butting in....but which part of ADHD can be considered a superpower? I would have though it far more likely that some ASD comorbidity is more likely to be contributing to an ability to hyperfocus on something. ADHD being aimed somewhat in the other direction. My shed looks like your shed. My whiteboard list of unfinished projects has entries going back 15 years. I know what you're talking about - I just struggle to connect ADHD to the results being discussed.
    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
