Hi guys, my names naif and im new to the forums.

Im from hillarys and own a white 1994 GTS-t that makes 180Rwkw

In the last 3 days ive had my ass handed to me by 3 LS1 powered commondores.

a green VX GTS in fremantle, i stayed with him in first, but he pulled away in 2nd pretty quick.

the second was in hillarys a white VY SS (plates were INXSS) from a 60 kph rolling start. pulled away straight away.

and a red VX SS with black rims (plates were ROSTY or simmilar) on the way back from mandurah yesterday. from 90kph roll on he just left me.

I usually dont have problems with 5ltrs at the drags (i have run 13.5 @ 104mph)

what kind of power atw do u need to happily beat lightly - heavily modded LS1s.

Its upsetting my pride.

thanks

whys he an idiot... yeah i thought it was rosty or something.

he was kewl. i pulled into a servo and he pulled in too. we had a chat about cars.

his car was pretty quick hey

what mods do i need to make in excess of 250Rwkw.

im not too mechanically minded but my car was last dynoed at 183.7 Rwkw

my car has no subs, nothing. even rear seats are missing.

car is running brillantly...

its ok from starts, but after 100kph they all seem to go. how do u match there top end?

maybe you do need a 500watts amp and two 15inch subs in the boot! after all its rear end traction that helps your car launch faster..... and hit someone sooner;)

well everyone else seems to not have trouble... i thought maby my car isnt running properly compaired to every one else.

im new to the whole car scene... im learing

are there any car clubs around the hillarys area

Maybe its your driving?????

Remember a car's power is useless, unless the driver knows how to use it to it's fullest potential. :)

Choose carefully, there are those that know how to drive their LS1s and those that dont. The hardest part with Holdens are in their launch (very tricky), take that out and your basically toast. Even lightly modified holdens (LS1) are very powerful.

BTW stay away from turboed LS1, many are running 350-450rwkw (some 500rwkw) with stock internals. Its a bit scary how easy it is to extract power from the LS1.

Its upsetting my pride.

Get some self esteem. LS1 powered Commodores are not slow in a straight line, and the engine responds quite well to cheap mods.

And as for how much power you need, once you start modding its an arms race. For everything you do, someone has done something more. I reckon with 1000hp you should be OK - there won't be that many Commodores that will be able to beat you.
