Dash Dimmer Switch?

Hi all...The very dim dash and climate control lights are starting to annoy me. My dimmer switch dose not work..Is this the case with any one else? ( ie it was modded for compliance) or is it just mine. The lights on the shifter go on and off intermitently but having the dash display means its not realy a problem.

Has anyone found a workshop in Melbourne that is up to scatch to work on the Stagea??

My S1 hasn't got one. Its a pain! Must do something about it.

Shouldent be too hard to fit a rehostat somewhere. Alex?

My one has a dimmer swtich, but all they did was cut the power wire then put a variable resistor in series. so i dont get extra brightness, only dimmer'ness.

I started a topic on this about 6 months ago.

Anyway, your best bet is to buy some brighter LEDs with a wide angle so they get a good spray.

Best to wait for beastien to reply about what LED's he's bought.

PS. I think Nissan made a royal mistake by not illuminating the "fan" and "mode" buttons on the climate control

the fan and mode buttons on my series2 are illuminated but the recirc fresh and off buttons are not so maybe it has just blown an led out? i gave mine a tap with my finger fairly firmly and the mode/fan ones worked after that so give it a bash perhaps?

also the head light dipper control wheel to the right of the column does not seem to do anything on mine either, has anyone else had this? if so how was it remedied cos it would be a handy thing when towing etc!
