Soemthings Leaking Maybe? Help Pls!

Hey guys,

Can you guys out there help me out with something pls?

I just had my rb26 rebuilt and just got my car back on the road today and i noticed something strange. When i am loading the engine, or when it starts to hit a bit of boost, I can hear a sound which sounds kind of like an air leak from the left side of the engine bay kinda like "chu chu chu". When I get off the power it sounds like I have a blow off valve on the left side of the engine bat. Also it feels a little bit hesitant when it makes that noise. Another thing is when it is idling it revs around 1.1-1.5k, which is a bit higher than normal.

Does this mean I am having a leak some where in my intercooler piping?? Or some other hoses?? Does anyone have any ideas on what I should have a look at?

Current mods: Air filters, exhaust from front pipe back, BOV, forgies, new bearings, oil pump etc etc

sounds like compressor surge.

did you change turbos as well?

try loosening the spring tension on the BOV to full soft and see if it changes.

yeah the turbos has been changed they are R34 n1s. but they have been changed b4 the engine was rebuilt. Ok i will give that a try thanks for the help buddy. Will let u know what happens.
