As usual, Bass has always stole the show :ban:. Nice big burnt out give us import drivers some credit toward the guys who runs Heathcote.

After Bass ripped a big burnt out, the guy who set the timer for the Chrismas Tree said something like " ...thanks God, i've waiting for something like this all day " :D.

I just couldn't understand why most of the rear wheel drive that were there would not rip a nice burnt out even though it was a basic technic.

lol

I think its because at the start of the day Ash told everyone that burnouts on street tyres aren't useful

i did a few bigger burnouts in the second half of the day (the christmas tree guy did seem to enjoy it a lot when anyone did a decent one)...I think it helped a little to get some heat into the street tyres, I had some good 60ft times with doing it, but only .1 kinda better....but no good if you went overboard, then it just wheelspun more off the line.

Petes big burnouts were ok on his slicks...they need good heat in em to grip best. Also good to watch!!

Anyone no the name of the guy who did his timing belt on the way there ..

might try get hold of him see how he went getting it home..

He has a white R33 it was on the side of the road at Heathcote..

espo (craig)

Jack picked up the car on the way back with dezz's car as well

Top work all, a great day.

Huge thanks to Tuspeed for their support too :ban:

These inter-club events are really great fun - especially with such a good turnout!

And I'm ashamed to say I think I had more fun challenging John's Tarago than I did punching out 12s in the GT-R :D

We'll have to do this again.

BTW: Poite - I'm tired and grumpy and cannot be assed taking the trailer back to outer whereversville right now. Will drop it off with your tyres later in the week. Let me know if a problem.

His name was Craig....not sure of his username though. thought it was timing belt trouble...he had it changed only 2000km ago.

Your car looks like it had more power than a standard R33 unless you had a good set up? Sound nice as well, you were wheel spin through second gear through pretty much half of the track lol, must be track temp.

Pete got his 12, nice! What time did you run Aaron? What about Jack?

best time was an 11.74 with a 60 foot somewhere around 1.75 seconds. RE55s needed. The takeoff looks like it is on cement, dunno. Was more slippery than a normal road. Not bad for a stocker.. :ban:

Thanx guys and girls for another fantastic inter club day. It's awesome that our 2 clubs can get together and have a awesome event....it speaks volumes for the members. Bring on DECA!!!!! :P

And very suprisingly that the Skyline's were the ones with broken gearbox's and no WRX gearbox trouble!! :ban:

Thanx to Tuspeed for the sponsership of the day... :D

Can't wait to see Joel's pic...got to love camera on a stick!!!! :D

mines about 235kw/610Nm....so no, not quite standard :ban: slicks an softer rear suspension should see better times...

but yeah...traction was a big issue in second gear for me...

Hey all - hope everyone had a great day - I did - weather held off, cruise up there was great (for that time of the morning) and the air was nice and cool for turbos and lots of runs for everyone... pity I was too busy chatting and not running. There was some great times posted - especially with Team Lada nearly breaking into the 20's. Good to catch up and chat with a bunch of you guys as well. And the only gearbox casualty from the day was from a Skyline..... I would have lost money on that one :P

Anyway - big thanks to the guys involved in setting everything up - great having the two clubs working together to put on something like today.

Here's a few pics that I grabbed...
