Calder Park - no go.

They are not club-friendly.

If you book the side lane you will not get "more" runs than any other friday night. So max of 2-3 runs.

Heathcote pricing is realistic, and far offsets the 1.5hour drive and fuel by $40 runs and $10 spectator.

Calder wants $50 to race, $20 spectate, if you get your own "lane" as i said you will get limited runs.

You wont get 10+ runs like heathcote by any means.

yeah heathcote is good....you get the drag aspect, and a nice cruise up

Due to overwhelming demand both here and WRX

I will organise one... but you'll need to be a member Daz :(

Same as this one

This wont be the "formal challenge" as thats only one a year.

But ill think of something to jazz it up with :)

Haha sweet mate, membership is coming. Got to get off my ass and call Adz

another vote for heathcote! was a great atmosphere, good for learners/ first timers, bit more relaxed so you dont feel stupid about doing a bad time or making mistakes...like my 22 sec first run...lol

I should have entered in the most improved class..

from a 22.4 to a 13.4....:(

The one good thing about Calder that its a faster track than Heathcote. Around 0.2 of a second quicker

Depending on the weather/time of day.

I've run faster @ Heathcote than Calder.

Calder is troubled by the water table problems if its had heavy rain the week prior an the track can be very slippery at timesm even after they spary VHT all over the place

Same as Heathcote aswell at times too.

Its very much a weather thing

It did sound a lot more serious than some other cars out there. And I think that more people were cheering you on than any one else [maybe bacause you weren't a threat] I don't know. It certainly highlighted the fun atmosphere and let people know that if you didn't run 11's, you weren't going to get laughed off the track. :P:)

Its more altitude, Heathcote has a higher altitude and Calder is at sea level. I always run quicker at Calder and i know a few quick 10 second cars who are drag heads reckon Calder is good for 0.2 over Heathcote.

I must admit Heathcote has alot more relaxing atmosphere.
