just shagged my daily ke30 corolla's diff. Just wanna weld it up! Has anyone done it and if so how do you do it? I have the diff out but i'm just not too sure what i need to weld, the centres out and ready to go! Pictures would help too!

depends how bad its shagged, u probly cant use it any more. the idea behind welding, is to stop the side/spider gears turning, so weld them up nice and solid. if u understand how ur diff works, u'll soon understand the principle behind welding side/spider gears. if u dont understnad, play around with it till u do. dont forget the usual speel, its illeagle and dangerous for street use. understeer on the way in, oversteer on the way out :P

fill it with bolts and nuts and washers etc, and then put as much weld in there as possible.

...then put a rotor in it and try to take a corner at 30kmh... brap brap brap...crash ..crumple..hospital.. beep .. beep.. beep... beep.

LOL

Sorry not taking the piss out of your post but I've seen so many people make "full sick" street cars out of old sardine cans with stupid powerful rotors....

I don't know about putting nuts and washers in etc. I realise you need to fill it but if the ke is a stock engine spinning up 30kg of nuts and washers everytime you put your foot down is gonna make that thing SLOW as, and it probably won't break 5kg of weld stuff...
