Gtr Oil Pressure?

hi im chris, im new 2 this site. i have a 32 gtr with a full hks engine, n1 block, n1 oil and water pump and the oil pressure was up near 8 bar when i picked it up from the engine builder and now it has 1000ks on it and now has below 4 when cold and the gauge sits about 5mm above 0 when hot? i dont think its right! it is in getting looked at now and he said it was pretty normal? i dont think it is normal. what should it run? any advice.

low on oil, or oil is 2 thin. OR worst case, something is leaking

full of oil, always used mobil 1, im sus about internal leaking (bearing clearance) but it is all new??? i hope the gauge is faulty!!!!! but they have had it all week and i havnt heard back yet. might give them a call tomorrow.

befoe you take the engine apart, always check the sendor unit!!! it is known to cause problems like this.

Oil pressure shouldn't go over about 5 bar when up to temperature anyway. Oil pressure over about 5.5 bar is not good for the seals in your turbo. The gauges can sometimes be erratic, but yours sounds okay.
