I have the gearbox shaft inside the pressure plate "fingers", but it needs to be about 10-15 mm higher to get into the clutch plate splines - problem is that the box is already hard up against the firewall. I've tried jacking the front of the motor, but this doesnt seem to prompt the rear of the motor to drop.

Any tips for getting the box in?

Tnx,

Kot

You will have to twist the box so you can clear the tunnel then twist it back to normal.

I hope you are doing it on a hoist, its a bastard of a job on the floor..

Thanks for that - the gearbox is back in, and i'm enjoying the new single plate! (anyone want to buy a dual plate OS Giken in good condition?)

Yes i was doing it on the floor - son of a biatch!

Rgs,

Kot
